Promoting your website locally, nationally or worldwide is no easy task. If you have a major budget you may consider advertising, but unless this is done with caution, budgets are soon lost with little end return. The purpose of SEO is to promote your website and raise it up the search engines so that you get a natural improvement of visitors to your website.
When using the right keyword strategy your target audience will be brought to your website for maximum results.
The beauty about HotSpotWebs is that we have specialists not only experienced in SEO but also SEM (Search Engine Marketing), which takes the promotion to the next level. We take into consideration your target audience, the structure of your website, the publicity it needs, the promotion necessary to outrank your competitors, the work involved to bring quality links to help give your website authority and credence.
Every single business operates differently, and so does every website. Due to this, every SEO campaign that we manage is unique in many aspects. Every SEO consultancy is bespoke for each client. Any SEO professional will tell you that this is the best way to run an SEO campaign due to the ever changing nature of the search engines. There is no room for a “one size fits all” approach with SEO because each site is different and the search engine algorithms are being updated all the time.
SEO work can be done on a local, national or international level – and often simple tweaks and modifications can make all the difference in ranking your web pages. Our aim is to get websites onto the front pages of Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask. For more information about improving your websites ranking please contact my email address below.
SEO Tips for Today
Try to get your keyword phrase inside incoming links – Inbound links are a great way to improve your page rank. But you can’t really control how people link to your pages. Chances are they won’t use a phrase that has anything even remotely close to your keyword phrase. Remember that they are doing you a favor by linking to you. If it makes sense, you can ask them to change the text of the link, but be careful, as people can be very touchy, and you might just get your link removed.
Use a unique and relevant title and meta description on every page. The page title is the single most important on-page SEO factor. It’s rare to rank highly for a primary term (2-3 words) without that term being part of the page title. The meta description tag won’t help you rank, but it will often appear as the text snippet below your listing, so it should include the relevant keyword(s) and be written so as to encourage searchers to click on your listing. Related bonus tip: You can ignore the Keywords meta tag, as no major search engine today supports it.
Try to get links from reputable sites – Reputable sites that link to you will increase your reputation. After all, if a reputable site feels that your site is valuable enough to link to, that means that your page has more value. You can tell if a site is considered reputable both by how high it appears in search engines and it’s Google PageRank. Also, .edu sites have a higher reputation because they represent schools and universities.
Use keywords in your URLs and file names, such as yourdomain.com/red-widgets.html. Don’t overdo it, though. A file with 3+ hyphens tends to look spammy and users may be hesitant to click on it. Related bonus tip: Use hyphens in URLs and file names, not underscores. Hyphens are treated as a “space,” while underscores are not.
